EMILY JENKINS - Founder Director

Emily founded Move Dance Feel in 2016 and is spearheading an international Dance in Cancer Care Movement. She has worked in dance for fifteen years and is specialised in the area of Dance and Health - serving as a committee member for the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science and as a Trustee for Akademi South Asian dance company.

NAOMI WELFORD - dance artist

Naomi draws creative inspiration from improvisation, play, contemporary dance techniques, somatic practices and yoga. She works with participants in a range of settings and is passionate about making dance more accessible for everybody!

EILIDH SCOTT - dance artist

Eilidh's practice revolves around play, curiosity and empowerment. Her dance experience is broad, and spans across the dance and health sector. She works at community centres, nurseries, schools and hospitals, engaging with a range of people. Eilidh's aim is to provide the joy of movement to everyone, supporting and inspiring people through dance.

louise Klarnett - Dance artist

Louise has an extensive dance practice, spanning twenty years, working with babies to older people. She leads workshops and training in children’s centres, nurseries, community and education settings, day centres, sheltered housing and hospitals, and works specifically with The Magpie Project.

maeve ayton - director

Maeve has over eleven years’ experience in digital marketing across some of the UK’s biggest consumer brands. She is experienced in client and KPI management, sales and female leadership. She is excited to be part of Move Dance Feel and support the team as it continues to develop and grow.

ROSIE D MAXWELL - DIRECTOR

Rosie has a decade’s experience as a behaviour change consultant, particularly in the world of health and fitness, and is passionate about using behavioural science to bring about positive change in society.

sara wookey - advisor

Sara is the director of Wookey Works, an organisation offering creative services in collaboration with cultural organisations, educational institutions and government agencies. She speaks and writes on issues of economy, labor and value in the arts for the preservation of, and sustainability in, dance.

Dr lauren macdonald - advisor

Lauren has a background in Psychology, Psychiatry and Integrative Medicine and works to support healing and optimal wellbeing. Since going into remission from stage IV cancer in 2016 she has been fascinated by our innate capacity to heal from disease, overcome trauma and thrive beyond adversity. She is also co-founder of Essence Medicine.

su fang hsiao - advisor

Su Fang is a fundraiser and business development professional with over fifteen years of experience working in development roles in the Arts and Education sectors. Skilled in generating income through foundation grants, government funding, individual giving, scholarship, corporate sponsorship, creative brand partnership, membership and events.

Fiona campbell - advisor

Fiona is the director of Wee Movers, a children's creative dance and yoga school in East London and beyond. She has a degree in Dance, an MA in Cultural Policy and over a decade's experience as an arts marketer working with choreographers, arts organisations and public sector bodies in the UK and internationally.

CRIS SANHUEZA - ADVISOR

Cris is an arts in health consultant and neuro arts researcher dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of creativity and self-expression. With a Masters in Arts in Medicine, she bridges the gap between arts and public health, focusing on wellbeing, social connections, and joy. Cris serves as a consultant, and champions self-care through art.

MARIAN NAIDOO - ADVISOR

Marian’s career spans health and cancer care, education, and the performing arts. She has influenced and pioneered many of the Arts in Health movements in the UK, at both strategic and policy levels, from the Cabinet Office to small local groups. She believes in the intrinsic value of performance art as an essential creative function that enables individuals to connect, communicate and express themselves.
