Move Dance Feel Online

Free, welcoming dance sessions for women affected by cancer

When you're living with or beyond cancer, it can be hard to find spaces where you truly feel connected – to yourself, to others, and to a sense of joy. That’s why we created Move Dance Feel Online.

Our online sessions offer a gentle, nurturing space where women can move at their own pace – with no pressure, no judgement, and no need for any previous dance experience.

It is something joyful to look forward to, something special and nourishing.

What to expect…

Whether you’re dancing standing or from a chair, you’ll be guided and supported by professional dance artists.

Each 60 minute session includes:

  • A gentle warm-up

  • Time for creative explorations and expressive movement

  • Simple dance phrases

  • Stretching and relaxation

Following the dancing, there’s the option to stay online for a short, relaxed chat – a chance to socialise and share in a supportive space with others who understand.

Weekly sessions via Zoom

Mondays 18:00 - 19:15

Fridays 10:00 - 11:15

All times are detailed in UK time zone. Each session includes 60 minutes of dancing, followed by an optional chat

We aim to run these sessions continuously (with breaks for public holidays), where funding allows.

I’m amazed at how much of an impact dancing on a Friday morning has made on my wellbeing. I feel like it has stirred something in me that had gone to sleep.

Things to note, regarding how to prepare for a session…

  • Wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in

  • Create a clear space free of trip hazards

  • Have water or a drink nearby

  • We encourage dancing barefoot or in socks

  • It’s not essential, but connecting a speaker or wireless headphones to your device will give you the best sound quality

  • We ask that cameras are turned on – to help build a sense of community and so that our dance artists can see you to best support you – yet we completely understand if you prefer to turn your camera off
