Workshop for World Health Day
Join us for this very special World Health Day event - bringing together women affected by cancer to experience the power and joy of dance.
Tuesday 7 April 2026
17:00 - 19:00
Location
The Great Hall, Barts North Wing, London, EC1A 2BE
Taking place in the beautiful and newly refurbished Great Hall at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, this uplifting workshop invites you to connect with yourself, with your body, with the special surroundings, and with others.
“I loved the way the workshop was so inclusive and made us feel so nurtured. It takes you out of your mind and into your body.”
Led by professional dance artists you will be guided through a creative and contemporary dance session, supported by inspiring music, and held in a community of care. The dancing will be followed by relaxation time and discussion, so that all aspects of our physical, mental and social health are tended to.
The workshop is open to women with any type of cancer, at any stage, and women who are recovering from cancer. We also welcome women who are supporting someone affected by cancer, either personally (a friend or relative) or professionally (those working in healthcare / oncology).
No experience with dance is needed - just come as you are. The workshop is free of charge.
“Dancing gives me the chance to make decisions in the moment, move through a space and take it up in a way I wish to in everyday life but often don’t feel I can. When dancing with Move Dance Feel, I feel I have permission to be.”
